obtaining moves in manamon series using c e instructions. Disclaimer: Before you dive into these cheating moves, I strongly suggest that you experience the games in their fullest. Also, using these methods unfairly, like in online battles with other players, without informing them first, will never be supported by me. I(Thaqib mir) will not be held responsible for any damage/unfair use while doing this. These are working methods and shouldn't have any other effects on the games. Before following any of the below methods, please backup your save file so that if something goes wrong because of some rare circumstances, you can get all of that precious data of yours back. It is possible to save the game, and only have it crash again once you've restarted Manamon. Note: You require slingshot or some other move providing equipment at least for one of the methods to work, and this one is what I'd personally choose because it's more reliable than the other. You can get slingshot in struttle cave (probably spelling it wrong). Slingshot does not exist in manamon1, so use some other equipment like dymbranch club, buyable in one of the houses in Opal Bay. It is recommended to download the latest version of Cheat Engine (google "download cheat engine") as there have been reports of problems. With all of that out of the way, here's how you do it. Method 1, using equipment. 1. Open manamon 1 or 2 and select the process with cheat engine. 2. Equip any move related equipment to the manamon who wants to get that, ehem, overpowered move :) 3. Search the remaining usage points number of that specific move in CE, and fight a couple of times while searching until you get 1 value. Note: turning off NVDA, pressing enter to start the scan, and turning NVDA back on again may make the scan go much faster. 4. Focus on the one address you just got, then press CTRL + C to copy it to the clipboard Optional: An easier way to find this address even after restarting the game, is to focus on the address you just got and press CTRL+F6. Press yes, lose some usage points and an opcode should show up in the list. Select it, open its context menu and select "find out which addresses this code reads from". Whenever you or the enemy uses UP, their addresses will show up here. To get back and forth between windows without closing this one, learn to use object navigation (on the laptop it's NVDA + shift + arrow keys to move in the four directions), move up and sorta go from left to right as you go up, looking for the Cheat Engine window. Look inside or to the right of it for a button that says "Maximize" or "Restore". Select it with object nav and press NVDA + enter to activate it, this should focus you on Cheat engine. Pressing the same button but on the "find out what addresses this code reads from" window will focus that, but if you have Speech History, instead try object-navigating to the list of addresses in the window, go to the end of it by holding down NVDA + shift + right, and the latest addresses will be there. Object-navigate into it with NVDA + shift + down once or twice, press NVDA + down and copy last spoken item, this should get the address on your clipboard where it belongs. 5. Press tab a couple times until you land on a button called "add address manually" and press enter 6. You should now be in an edit box. Use CTRL+V to Paste in the address you just coppied, then hold right arrow to move to the end of the address you just pasted in. Type the "+" key, then the "4" key, then press enter again to confirm. 7. Press tab two or three times until you hear your screen reader say either "unknown", "list", or "pane". The thing you're looking for is directly before the "new scan" button and directly after the checkbox that says "compare to first scan." 8. Press down arrow once to focus on the first item of this weird list, then press enter. This will pop up an edit box where you can type in the ID of the new move you want. Do so and press enter again (the move IDs are the numbers right before the move names in the "move numbers.txt" file right next to this one). 9. Unequip the slingshot, dimbranch club or other move-granting item. Save Manamon or Manamon 2 and reload to have the change take effect. And that should be it. Method 2, throw slingshot out the window since we're going to change the moves which that manamon already has access to. Simply follow Method 1, barring equipment, and you should be good to go. Depending on the move, the only thing which might be overpowered in the case of manamon2 is the number of usage points you got. There's a way to fix that too. Copy the address like you did in step 4, and go to "add address manually". Paste it in, go to the end, but instead of typing "+4", type in "-4" and press enter. Tab over to the list-thing, press down arrow once to focus on the newly added address, then you can change its value by pressing enter. With that, you're done. Go and do what evva you gotta do ya silly cheata! Credits. Keithwipf1: For providing valuable info about adding the address manually, therefore saving a lot of time. keithwipf1 also is responsible for the updated guide cuz the info triggered a Chane reaction where I started to mess with c e and so I updated some steps in this guide which are easier to implement.
